Fisherman and Boat captain.  Sportsman and Conservationist.  Public Servant and Entrepreneur.  Girl Dad and Reality TV star.  Vegetable gardener and beekeeper. Cancer survivor.

You can call Tyler Macallister a lot of things, but “typical politician” isn’t one of them.  But now he’s running for Congress because Washington, DC needs fewer career politicians and more people with real world experience who care more about serving others than serving themselves. 

Macallister is running on a platform that includes:

• Reducing the cost of living for working families and retirees
• Securing our borders and stopping illegal immigration
• Lowering the cost of prescription drugs and healthcare
• Reasserting American energy dominance
• Protecting our environment and special quality of life
• Upgrading or replacing the Bourne and Sagamore bridges

A well-known charter boat captain, Macallister helped to popularize “Harpoon Hunting” for bluefin tuna – a sustainable approach to fishing that involves using a harpoon to target and capture the fish.  He has appeared on multiple reality shows, including on Discovery Channel. 

Macallister was a lifelong resident of Cape Cod until he married and settled in Mattapoisett with his wife, Cindy and Black Lab Zeke in 2001.  He has served his adopted hometown for over 20 years in a variety of capacities – including the last thirteen as an elected member of the Select Board. He has been working diligently to keep his seaside community a safe and affordable place to live, work, raise a family and retire.   Macallister has been married for 24 years and has a college-age daughter who is entering her senior year at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
